Gym Assistant On Call
Position Summary:
Kingsway College, an SDA boarding high school in Oshawa, Ontario is seeking applicants for a King Fitness Centre assistant on call. This position is responsible for the operations of the King Fitness Centre and Auditorium while on duty. The employee shall agree to observe the employment and administrative policies of the SDA Church in Canada K-12 Board of Education, those policies of the SDA Church K-12 Board of Education which pertain to the operation of Kingsway College, the policies adopted by the Board of Directors of this school, and those laws and regulations of the Province of Ontario which are applicable to this school.
Qualifications:
A minimum of a high school diploma, preferably should have at least two years experience in the workforce.
Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or policy manuals. Ability to write reports and necessary correspondence. Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from students, parents, members of the constituency, the administrative team, as well as the general public.
Must be competent in the use of computer software such as spreadsheets, Excel, Word, Google Office.
No certification is necessary. However, any certification earned, a copy of the certificate(s) shall be provided to the President or his/her designee and shall be maintained in the school personnel files.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

A member in good standing of the Seventh-day Adventist Church.
Maintain a professional appearance by dressing according to school policy for employees.
Maintain the cleanliness of the entire fitness facility.
Responsible for the opening and closing and overall supervision of both the King Fitness facility and the old gym.
Maintain the cleanliness of the entire fitness facility.
Report any repairs to the Director of Plant Services.
Other duties may be assigned.
